Due to the screw fastening through the front or side in all mounting positions, there are many many different installation options for the I/O modules, both on even surfaces and on aluminum mounting rails using sliding blocks.

The digital I/O modules feature the following:

• A backplane bus connection (ET connection) with M8 connection technology for connecting to an interface module or further I/O modules
• A power supply connection with M8 connection technology with forwarding
• LED display for the channel status
• LED display for the module status (DIAG)
• LED display for load voltage 2L+ (PWR) (only modules with outputs)
• Labels for the identification of channels, modules and slots
• Integrated cable tie opening
• Clear labeling on front of module:
  • Plain text identification of the module type
  • Channel numbers labeling
  • Interface designation
• Clear labeling on side of module:
  • Article number, functional status and FW version
  • 2D matrix code (article and serial number)
  • Pin assignment of all interfaces

The modules are supplied with labels for the identification of channels, modules and slots. The labels can be mechanically inscribed using commercially available labeling systems.
