The communications module has the following features:

• Rugged plastic enclosure
• LEDs, for display of "Transmit", "Receive" and "Fault"
• Communication interface

This is available in three versions for the following transmission systems:

• RS 232C (V.24)
• RS 422/RS 485 (X.27).

Drivers

Various loadable drivers are available for the CP 341:

• Modbus:
  for communication according to the Modbus protocol with RTU format:
  • Modbus master:
    master/slave communication with SIMATIC S7 as master.
  • Modbus slave:
    master/slave communication with SIMATIC S7 as slave, frame traffic from slave to slave not possible.
