Round-sheath ribbon cables for self-assembly offer the following advantages:

• Available with a single 16-pin flat cable or with two 16-pin flat cables. Signals can be placed byte-by-byte or word-by- word.
• Cable is not bonded and so can be stripped to expose the internal core ready for further processing wherever required.
• Always possible to lay the optimal length required.
• The outer layer gives increased protection against mechanical stress compared with non-encased cables while still remaining flexible and easy to run.
• Machine stripping and attachment of insulation displacement connectors possible.
• The single 16-pin flat cable version is also available with shielding.
