To ensure that only trusted applications are executed, Siemens uses McAfee Application Control. This tool uses whitelisting to ensure that unauthorized applications and malware can be detected and prevented. All of the trusted applications are defined in a positive list of the whitelist. The execution of unknown applications and executable programs such as malware is prevented. The user is notified about blocked programs.
