SIPLUS D is a compact, drive-based variant of SIPLUS based on the SINAMICS S120 drives family.

The SIPLUS D control units are provided in the following variants:

• SIPLUS D4x5-2 are control units for multi-axis applications in SINAMICS S120 booksize format and are offered in the following performance versions:
  • Control Unit SIPLUS D435-2 DP/PN (STANDARD Performance) for up to 32 axes
  • Control Unit SIPLUS D455-2 DP/PN (ULTRA-HIGH Performance) for up to 128 axes or applications with very short control cycles

The fine scalability makes it possible to respond rapidly and without a system change to changed requirements in the automation field.

Device concept

With SIPLUS D, the PLC and motion control and technological functionalities as well as the SINAMICS S120 drive software run on a shared control hardware. The IEC 61131-3-compliant PLC integrated in SIPLUS D means that not just sequences of motions can be controlled, but the entire machine as well with a single compact unit.

Depending on the SIPLUS D platform, HMI devices can be operated on the onboard PROFIBUS, Ethernet or PROFINET interface for operator control and monitoring. Functions such as remote maintenance, diagnostics, and teleservice can also be used via these interfaces.
