The front of the controller contains:

• LEDs to indicate status and errors
• Mode switch
• 24 V DC connection

The CPUs also include:

• a slot for the SIMATIC Memory Card;
  Note: The SIMATIC Micro Memory Card is essential for the operation of the ET 200SP CPU. No SIMATIC memory card is required for the ET 200SP Open Controller.
• Connection for PROFINET IO IRT (3-port switch)
  • Port 1 and 2 via a BusAdapter
  • Port 3 permanently integrated in the CPU
• Connection for PROFIBUS DP via an optional CM DP communication module (for ET 200SP CPUs and Open Controller)
• Connection for PROFINET IO IRT (2-port switch) via BusAdapter (for ET 200SP Open Controller)
• Ethernet connection via GB-Ethernet interface (for ET 200SP Open Controller)
