The analog AS-interface module of the compact series K60 collects or delivers analog signals on-site. These modules are connected to the primary controller via an AS-Interface master according to specification 2.1 or 3.0.

The analog modules are divided into five groups:

• Input module for current encoders
• Input module for voltage encoders
• Input module for thermal resistor encoders
• Output module for current actuators
• Output module for voltage actuators

The input modules according to profile 7.3/7.4 are available as modules with two or four input channels. Furthermore, the two-channel module may be converted for use as a single-channel one, thus achieving fast times until the analog value becomes available. The conversion is made using a bridge connector on socket 3. Transmission times twice as fast as those obtained with profile 7.3/7.4 may be achieved by the analog modules using profile 7.A.9. The ID1 code value determines whether the module is operated in one or two-channel mode.

The output modules are designed as standard as two-channel modules.

The input and output channels are electrically isolated from the AS-Interface network. Should sensors be connected with increased electricity demand, the auxiliary power supply may provide more energy as an alternative to internal power.
