Inventory - SINEMA Server detects all devices in the network and can display them either as a device list or an interface list. An up-to-date overview of all installed components including all their essential features is produced.
Topology - HTML5-based topological representation
- The plant topology is automatically read out, displayed and monitored for changes.
- The type of medium, redundancy and VLANs are displayed graphically.
- Wireless connections between access points and client modules (SCALANCE W) are displayed.
Monitoring - A wide range of mechanisms is used to collect and centrally archive diagnostics data from all network subscribers.
- Besides SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) it is also possible to directly access SIMATIC controllers (S7-300/S7-400)or PROFINET nodes with “Read data record”.
- SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1500 are detected and fundamentally read out via SNMP
- Detection and recognition of devices with identical IP addresses (Network Address Translation)
- Detection and display of devices with IPv6 addresses
Diagnostics - Diagnostic states are signaled as events and the corresponding devices highlighted in color in the user interface. This enables faults to be detected early.
- Problems are easy to locate via the views and topology diagnostic displays.
Reporting - Statistics for any time period can be displayed and evaluated thanks to the database-supported system. This makes it easy to evaluate past events.
Validation - Configurable test patterns enable essential network properties to be repeatedly checked and documented.
- The validation result is stored together with all underlying data as a PDF.
Propagation - A large number of interfaces (URL, HTTP, CSV, OPC UA) enable network and diagnostic data to be displayed and further processed in higher-level systems.
- E-mails or application can be event-triggered.
Management - In many cases, SCALANCE component firmware can be upgraded individually or in bulk.
- Devices can be configured via an open interface (SSH, Telnet).
