Components contained in the development packages for ERTEC

• Evaluation Board 200P (EB 200P) in EK-ERTEC 200P;
  The test environment of the PROFINET IO devices for user-specific applications.
• PROFINET Device Stack.
  Source code including sample applications for the process on the supplied evaluation board. All development tools required for PN IO device development that do not require a license are included on the CD in addition to sample applications and GSD examples.
• JTAG debugger.
  To simplify troubleshooting during development, the development packages include an Amontec JTAGkey-Tiny Debugger.
• Documentation.
  Extensive documentation material is enclosed in English and German on CD. Thanks to the guide for fast starting, you save valuable time during the commissioning phase.

Components included in the development kit for a standard Ethernet controller

• PROFINET IO device stack in source code

Operating system environment

The ERTEC development packages are shipped with the open-source, royalty-free eCos operating system. The open operating system interface of the PROFINET stack for the operating system enables customized adaptation and porting to other operating system platforms.

The development package for standard Ethernet controllers is designed for porting to any real-time operating system. Defined interfaces to an operating system and hardware allow cost-effective porting.

Updates

Functional further developments of the development kits will be made available to registered customers by means of free updates. This enables continuous and innovative further development of the terminal devices by means of simple integration of the PROFINET functionalities.

Free registration is a requirement for receiving the function updates. To register, you must send in the software product certificate and the delivery note to the ComDeC Support Center.

PROFIsafe starter kit

The PROFIsafe starter kit V3.5 is compatible with version 2.6.1 of the PROFIsafe profile, as specified in IEC 61784-3-3. It meets a range of user requirements such as multi-instance capability and variable process data length at runtime, and has been certified by the German Technical Inspectorate (TГњV) for more efficient slave development. Along with all of the PI specifications required for development, the PROFIsafe starter kit contains the source files for the PROFIsafe driver software (PSD) and a comprehensive implementation manual in English and German.
In addition, it includes various CRC calculation tools and aids as well as a programming example.
