The battery modules are designed for the battery supply of the energy self-sufficient SIMATIC RTU3000C telecontrol stations. They consist of the battery module housing and a battery holder. The batteries are not included in the scope of delivery (see "Design" section).

The energy self-sufficient RTU3000C family is particularly suited for monitoring and control of external stations that are not connected to an energy supply network. It can independently acquire data from connected sensors with time stamp, preprocess the data and transfer it to a control center via mobile radio or via LAN (via external router). The RTU3000C can be supplied by a battery or solar panel thanks to optimization of the energy consumption. Supply via a 12 - 24В V DC power supply unit is also possible. A battery power supply can be used exclusively or in addition to other power supply options.

Up to two battery modules can be connected to an RTU3000C. Each of these can be supplemented with one or two battery expansion modules to increase the battery capacity.

• Battery case for SIMATIC RTU3000C, for accommodating two D cell batteries
• Battery expansion case for SIMATIC RTU3000C, for accommodating two D cell batteries (only usable in combination with battery case, max. two for each battery case)
