SIPLUS D4x5-2 are drive-based Control Units for multi-axis systems. The individual variants mainly differ in their PLC and motion control performance, memory level as well as in the interfaces. The differentiation characteristics are:

The SIPLUSВ D435-2 and D455-2 Control Units dispose of PLC and motion control performance (open-loop control and motion control) for up to 32 or 128 axes, as required.

The integrated drive control allows each D4x5-2 Control Unit to operate up to 6 servo-, 6 vector or 12 V/fВ axes.

The integrated drive control is based on the drive control of a SINAMICSВ S120 Control Unit CU320-2 (firmware version V4.x) and supports servo control (for maximum dynamic response), vector control (for maximum torque precision) and V/f control.

Extension of the drive computing performance

The motion control performance of a SIPLUS D4x5-2 can be utilized in full by expanding the computing performance at the drive in two different ways:

• SINAMICSВ S120 Control Units (e.g. CU320-2) complete with further SINAMICSВ S120 drive modules can be connected via PROFIBUS or PROFINET.
• The Controller Extension SIMOTIONВ CX32-2 can be connected via DRIVE-CLiQ. This module is extremely compact and can control up to 6В servo, 6В vector or 12В V/fВ axes.
