Compact design of the drive converter power section, closed-loop motor control, distance measuring sensor, holding brake (300 W), positioning controller, program memory and communications interface on the motor.

The motor can be equipped from a modular gearbox unit system with a graduated planetary gearing (one gearbox per motor) or worm gearing (75 W).

• The removable terminal cover with integrated PROFIBUS address switch and terminating resistor allows the motor to be disconnected without interrupting communications and the power supply of the next station connected to the bus (node).
• All of the connections are established with commercially available cables
• Local diagnostics using LEDs (fault/ready) and two diagnostic socket connectors (programmable analog outputs) for service purposes

PROFIBUS DP permits fast, cyclic data exchange between a slave and higher-level PROFIBUS Master, e.g. a central module of the SIMATIC S7, a communications processor capable of being a master, e.g. CP 5412, or a communications module, e.g. CP 342-5, and also to standard masters from other manufacturers.
