SCALANCE X-200 compact design
The SCALANCE? X200 switches in compact design are intended for installation in cabinets (exception: X208PRO for use outside). They have 6 to 24 Fast Ethernet ports which are designed as follows depending on the type of device:

- SCALANCE X204-2 for optical line or ring structures
- 4 electrical RJ45 ports (10/100BaseTX)
- 2 optical BFOC ports (100BaseFX) for glass multi-mode FOC
- SCALANCE X206-1 for star structures as well as for line or ring topologies with electrical and optical transmission paths
- 6 electrical RJ45 ports (10/100BaseTX)
- 1 optical BFOC port (100BaseFX) for glass multi-mode FOC
- SCALANCE X212-2 for optical line or ring structures
