The CP 341 communications processor is used for fast and powerful serial data exchange with point-to-point communication if the CPU is not to be loaded with communications tasks. It can be used in the SIMATIC S7-300 and in the ET 200M (with S7 as master).

Point-to-point communication is possible e.g. to:
