Mode of operation

The IM 153-4 PN interface module handles all communication between the modular ET 200M IO device and the higher-level IO Controller via PROFINET.

The inputs and outputs are assigned to the respective IO Controller during configuration.

Parameterization

TIA Portal

The two PROFINET modules are integrated in the TIA Portal (configurable as of Version V11.0 or V12.0 of the TIA Portal).

STEP 7

Configuration is carried out using HW Config by selecting the respective head station from the corresponding HW catalog. The modules are also configured using the corresponding hardware catalog. As of STEP 7 V5.4, SP2 (HSP138)

Third-party tools

Connection to external masters and configuration with external tools is completed using the GSDML file.
