Up to 12 I/O modules from the S7-300 range of programmable controllers can be connected to the interface module. No slot rules apply. The interface module and the required I/O modules are mounted on a S7-300 DIN rail. This connects I/O modules with bus connectors and with the IM 153 interface module. The IM 153-4 PN is 40 mm wide. The display elements are located at the front along with a slot for the SIMATIC Micro Memory Card (MMC). A SIMATIC MMC with at least 64 KB is required for operation.
