dv/dt filters for AC operating mechanisms

du/dt filters consist of a limiter system and a reactor, or just a reactor. The filter is use on the frequency converters output, whereby the motor currents flow through the reactor. By connecting a filter to the three-phase system on the frequency converter output, transient voltage peaks are reduced and the voltage rise range on the motor winding limited to non-critical values smaller than 500В V/Вµs. In addition the dv/dt filters reduce capacitive load current peaks when using long motor cables, that result from the capacitance of the motor cable per unit length.
