The cable glands and sealing plugs can be ordered separately in the necessary quantity for the matching aluminum and stainless steel enclosures.

Cable gland

The cable gland of the type M16 has been designed for a temperature range of -40 to +100 °C and corresponds to IP68 degree of protection.

Sealing plug

The type M16 sealing plug has been designed for a temperature range of -40 to +100 °C and corresponds to IP68 degree of protection.

Installation instruction for IP68-Schutz

The IP68 protection for aluminum and stainless steel enclosures is only ensured when the cover screws (and screws for the flange plate on stainless steel enclosures) are screwed in with the specified torque and if all holes drilled into the enclosure have been equipped with the corresponding accessories (cable glands or sealing plugs or lightning protection elements). The following torque must be applied:

• Aluminum enclosure cover screws: 2.5 Nm
• Stainless steel enclosure cover screws (as well as pre-mounted flange plate): 2.5 Nm
• Cable gland M16 cap nuts: 5 - 6 Nm
• Cable gland M16 supports: 3.5 - 4.5 Nm
• Sealing plugs M16: Hand tighten with tool to 2.5 – 3.5 Nm
• Pressure equalizing element M12 (pre-mounted): 1.5 Nm
• Cabinet feedthrough / lightning protector: 1.5 Nm
