3SK1 basic units

Standard for simple solutions

The Standard basic units are distinguished by easy handling and they are available with relay and solid-state outputs. They are simply connected to the sensors and actuators, after which the individual devices are wired. This is done particularly fast and easily thanks to cover labeling and the optimized work angle. The basic unit can be easily parameterized for the individual sensors via the DIP switches.

Advanced for flexible solutions

The Advanced basic units offer all product features of the Standard basic units. In addition, they feature increased functionality and flexibility. Additional sensors can be connected via flexibly combinable input expansions. The Advanced device range offers extraordinary ease of handling as the devices need not be wired among each other. The unique device connector is simply plugged on – and operation can be started. This ensures rapid and comfortable commissioning without wiring faults.

The Advanced basic units are available with time delay, enabling shutdown actions to be implemented according to stop category 0 or 1. The time delay setting is comfortably adjusted via the rotary encoding switch.

3SK2 basic units

3SK2 basic units are the flexible and powerful expansion of the 3SK series. They offer a large number of inputs and outputs despite their narrow design. In addition, the extensive software parameterization options also enable the easy implementation of demanding safety applications with several independent safety functions. Powerful semiconductor outputs with the option of parameterization for adapting to different loads, as well as expandability through the use of additional 3SK output expansions and 3RM1 failsafe motor starters using device connectors, enable the devices to offer a flexible range of possible applications. The flexible time functions are another positive factor. In order to reduce plant standstills, diagnostics can also be performed on the devices using an optional diagnostics display. Instead of programming the safety applications, they are simply linked by dragging and dropping in the SIRIUS Safety ES engineering software.
