A DCM decoupling module must be used:
- When using a UM current/voltage measuring module if the supply system is not grounded.
- When using a current measuring module IM or a current/voltage measuring module UM when the system bus has reached its maximum current consumption.
If a mixed configuration is comprising temperature module TM, digital module DM, current measuring module IM, or current/voltage measuring module UM, the need for a decoupling module must first be checked.
If
(Quantity(TM) * 2 + Quantity(DM) * 1 + Quantity(UM or IM) * 4 ) > 14,
a decoupling module DCM is required.
For a calculation example, see the SIPLUS HCS300I System Manual.
Note:
For this equation, each module type is weighted with a specific current factor:
Module |
Current factor |
Temperature module TM |
2 |
Digital module DM |
1 |
Current measuring module IM, |
4 |
