OPC UA in can be used in all Ethernet networks thanks to the underlying TCP/IP communication. In particular, OPC UA and PROFINET are fully compatible, thus permitting parallel operation. Therefore other field devices in addition to the CPU can also be linked (to the IT levels, for example) using OPC UA.
