Directly executable code for ODK-compatible S7-1500 controllers is generated from a Simulink model. This consists of:

• Executable real-time code for the controller
• S7 program blocks for calling the real-time code

The S7 program blocks are called directly in the S7 program and execute the Simulink model on the controller.

The following functions can be activated as options:

• Simulink external mode: Enables monitoring and control of model parameters on the S7-1500 CPU from Simulink
• Parameter access from S7 program: Enables model parameters to be changed during runtime from the S7 program
