The SIMATIC ET 200SP Open Controller is the first controller of this type to combine the functions of an ET 200SP controller with visualization and PC applications in one rugged, compact control system with central I/Os (inputs/outputs).
In addition to the standard (non-fail-safe) S7-1500 Software Controllers, there are also failsafe versions available with the functionality of the fail-safe S7-1500 Software Controllers. This means that the functions of the fail-safe S7-1500 Controllers functions can now also be implemented on the CPU 1515SP PC.
