I/O modules are the interface of the SIMATIC ET 200AL to the process:

• Digital and analog modules provide exactly the inputs/outputs required for each task.
• A communication module permits the exchange of data with IO-Link devices.

The system provides two voltage supplies 1L+ and 2L+ (4 A each), which can be used on the one hand by the I/O module and which can also be looped through to an additional I/O module (line topology). The 2L+ load voltage supply can also be used to carry out safety-oriented cut-offs of digital outputs or the additional device supply of the IO-Link master (available soon).
