dv/dt filter plus VPL (Voltage Peak Limiter) limit the voltage rate-of-rise dv/dt to values < 500 V/?s and the typical voltage peaks to the following values according to the limit value curve to IEC/TS 60034?17: 2006:

• < 1000 V at U_line < 575 V
• < 1250 V at 660 V < U_line < 690 V

Standard motors with standard insulation and without insulated bearings can be used for inverter operation if a dv/dt filter plus VPL is used.

The dv/dt filter plus VPL are designed for the following maximum motor cable lengths:

• Shielded cables: 300 m (e.g. Protodur NYCWY)
• Unshielded cables: 450 m (e.g. Protodur NYY)

For shorter cable lengths (100 m shielded, 150 m unshielded) also refer to dv/dt filter compact plus VPL.

Note:

The maximum permissible cable length between the dv/dt filter and Power Module is 5 m.
