Distribution board, flat pack for self-assembly

Siemens has chosen the innovative path of delivering the distribution boards in flat pack form,

i.e. the distribution boards are delivered as individual parts for self-assembly.

The individual parts, mounting instructions and all mounting accessories and screws are packed together in a single cardboard box. The packaging is especially designed to have the smallest possible footprint during storage.

The system enables fast and efficient mounting of the individual parts on a wall or workbench

with just a screwdriver. The advantages speak for themselves: cost and space savings during storage and simple and easily accessible wiring at the sides.

"Platform" mounting

This "platform" refers to the rear panel with its inner equipment rack designed to accommodate all ALPHA assembly kits.

Users can mount the assembly kits (kits for molded case circuit breakers, for modular installation devices, for terminal blocks, etc.) directly onto the "platform" and, after wiring them, assemble the remaining parts of the enclosure (base plates, roof and side panels).

The ability to assemble the remaining parts of the enclosure at a later point also helps to prevent damage to the paint finish and other parts of the structure.
