• Engineering Software V8.1 for SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0 as of SP1 Update 3, V8.1 or V8.2 (each based on the Advanced Process Library); recommended for new SIMATIC PCS 7 projects
• Engineering Software Migration V7-V8 for SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0 as of SP1, V8.1 or V8.2 (each without Advanced Process Library); recommended for upgrading SIMATIC PCS 7 V7 projects to V8 with small amount of adaptation in the project
• Engineering Software V7 for SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.1 (without Advanced Process Library)

The Engineering Software of the block library AS?Interface for SIMATIC PCS 7 is delivered with 2 licenses, both of which correspond to the single license type:

• Engineering license for configuration on one engineering station
• Runtime license for execution of AS blocks in one automation system

One runtime license is also additionally required for each further automation system in which the AS blocks are executed. In contrast to the Engineering Software, the CD with the software and documentation is not included in the scope of delivery of separately ordered runtime licenses.

An extra license is not required to use the faceplates on the SIMATIC PCS 7 maintenance station.

The Engineering Software Migration V7-V8 enables you to upgrade an AS-Interface block library for SIMATIC PCS 7 with Engineering Software V7 for use with SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0 as of SP1, V8.1 or V8.2. An installation requirement for the Engineering Software Migration V7-V8 is the engineering license for the Engineering Software V7 of the AS-Interface block library for SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 or V7.1. Engineering Software Migration V7-V8 can be installed directly under SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0, V8.1 or V8.2. It is not necessary to previously install the Engineering Software V7 of the AS-Interface block library for SIMATIC PCS 7.

The Engineering Software product package always includes the corresponding service pack of the block library where available.

The service packs for Engineering Software Migration V7-V8 or for Engineering Software V7 are only available in the package together with Engineering Software. They are not available for download.
