The spectrum of the ET 200S covers not only safety-oriented I/O modules but also safety-oriented frequency converters, motor starters, power modules, contact multipliers and interface modules. The ET 200S is used for the distributed expansion of the safety-oriented S7 controllers.

An ET 200S station can include safety-oriented as well as standard I/O modules.
