The VPM can be operated in conjunction with SINAMICS S120, with 1FE motors and with 2SP1 motor spindles.

The VPM must be installed between the motor and drive system (maximum distance from drive system 1.5 m (4.92 ft). Shielded 6FX8 motor supply cables must be used when a VPM is installed.
