  Provision of energy data (current) via bus to higher-level systems by means of PROFIenergy
• Avoidance of power consumption during dead times by disconnection by means of PROFIenergy
• Current management
  With the electronic soft starter, avoidance of current peaks, thus reducing the load on the grid and the mechanical system
• Depending on technology, lower intrinsic power loss than speed-controlled drive systems
• Electronic modules with soft starter technology equipped with bypass protection, resulting in lower power losses than conventional soft starters after start-up
