The contactors are suitable:

• For switching resistive loads
• For isolating systems with ungrounded or poorly grounded neutral conductors
• For system transfers when alternative AC power supplies are used
• Use as contactors which only carry current and do not have to switch in case of inductive loads - e.g. variable-speed operating mechanisms
• For switching mixed loads in distribution systems (e.g. for supplying heaters, lamps, motors, PC power supply units) with p.f. > 0.8 according to IEC 60947-4-1, test conditions for utilization category AC-1.

Contactor assemblies with mechanical interlock

The 3RT13 4-pole contactors with four NO contacts as main contacts are suitable for assembly of contactor assemblies with mechanical interlock, e.g. in the case of network switchover.

Size S00

Contactor assemblies can be produced out of two 3RT131. contactors in combination with mechanical interlocking and two connecting clips (Article No.: 3RA1912-2H, pack with 10 interlock elements and 20 clips, for 10 assemblies).

Size S0

To produce 4-pole contactor assemblies out of two 3RT132. contactors, the 4th pole of the left contactor must always be offset to the left side. Then the contactor assembly can be produced easily with the aid of the front-mounted mechanical interlock 3RA1924-1A and the mechanical connectors 3RA1922-2C. The laterally mountable mechanical interlock 3RA1924-2B can be used whenever the contactor assembly is mounted on a base plate.

Sizes S2 and S3

Contactor assemblies comprising two 3RT133. or 3RT134. contactors in each case can be produced in combination with the laterally mountable mechanical interlock 3RA1924-2B and the mechanical connectors 3RA1932-2G or 3RA1942-2G. The front mounted mechanical interlock cannot be used in the case of sizes S2 and S3 contactors.
