The RMOS3 real-time operating system is still available for SIMATIC PC
Dear SICOMP IMC customers,
more and more IMC users are changing to long-living and cost-effective IPC solutions with SIMATIC PCs, thus following the trend towards distributed control and embedded PC technology.
The complete hardware product range of the SICOMP IMC system is declared as mature products since March 31, 2008. All the affected products will remain available for ordering until march 30, 2009.
Our 5-year commitment for the supply of spare parts after the discontinuation of sales is started with the above declaration. It is the defined period for the complete range of SICOMP IMC industrial microcomputers. For details please see here.

Important deadlines
Last call:
Last orders can be placed until at least March 30, 2009. Specific products can be ordered for one further year. This is already applicable to the CPU086 versions. The decision on last ordering dates for all IMC products was carried out by the end of September 2008.

Shipments:
Shipments can be made not later than 6 months after placing the order, provided there are no other customer agreements.
The standard lead time is expected to rise to up to 3 months after March 30, 2008. Please take this into account in your planning.
Prices:
The prices for new parts, spare parts (on a replacement basis) and repairs will be adjusted on October 01 of each respective year.
